Our lesson tonight was taken from Chapters 30 and 31 of The Purpose Driven Life.

Points to Ponder:

 

I.  Unwrapping Your Spiritual Gifts

    >God gives every believer spiritual gifts to be used in ministry.  (Each gift is

        unmerited.)

    >Gifts are an expression of God�s grace to you.

    >No individual receives all gifts

    >An unopened gift is worthless

 

II.    Listening to Your Heart

        >Heart describes the bundle of desires, hopes, interests, ambitions, passion

        >Signs of serving God with hearts are enthusiasm and effectiveness

        >Figure out what you love to do and do it for God�s glory

 

III.      Applying Your Abilities

        >All of our abilities come from God

        >Every ability can be used for God�s glory

        > What I�m able to do, God wants me to do

 

IV.      Using Your Personality

        >There is no right or wrong temperament or personality for ministry

        >Your personality will affect how and where you use your spiritual gifts and

            abilities

 

V.        Employing Your Experiences

        >Six kinds of experiences:

            -Family

            -Educational

            -Vocational

            -Spiritual

            -Ministry

            -Painful

 

The very experiences that you have resented or regretted most in life � the ones you�ve wanted to hide and forget � are the experiences God wants to use to help others.  They are your ministry!
