June 5, 2005 Sermon: Roof Top Faith
Scripture: Mark 2: 1-5
Sermon delivered by Pastor Williams
When you are ready to go the extra ordinary mile. When you decide that nothing will separate you from the love of God. When you push toward your own limitations. Nobody is going to stop you. Faith is the substance of things hoped for.
You cannot please God without faith. We demonstrate faith every day when we leave home, when we sit down on a church bench not even wondering if its going to hold us up. No faith, no power. Little faith, little power. Much faith, much power. When Jesus is in the house, your life is changed. He will turn you upside down.
Some folks come to church to cleanse their conscience. Some come because Jesus is a convenience for them. Its habit, caught up in religion. Caught up in the crowd. Learn how to rise above the crowd. Crowds will stop you from receiving your blessings. Rise above your circumstances or limitations or conditions. Life is not perfect.
Tell Satan you are going to the roof! Roof top faith rises above the crowd, above your circumstances. Have faith that goes beyond the extra ordinary. If you have faith, God will give you power to conquer all, anything. God is good. He will make a way out of now way. Do you believe and trust in Him? Do you have this type of faith Roof Top faith?
We stood on the roof top faith when we decided to build a new church; many said it couldnt be done, not only those outside of the church but some of the members.
Push forward beyond your own limitations.
