July 4 Sermon:  Too Much Trash
Scripture: Nehemiah 4: 10-12
Sermon was delivered by Pastor Williams

Nehemiah requested permission from the King of Persia to help in the rebuilding process.  Many were discouraged and on the verge of throwing in the towel, destruction was every where, enemies were every where they turned and the just wanted to throw in the towel.  Many of us have done the best we can but feel just like these people and want to give up.
If you want God to deal in you life, you have got to deal with the trash.  Trash is the sin that has taken over your life.  You cant praise God or lift up the name of Jesus if you spend all of your time thinking fleshly things instead of spiritual things.  You need to deal with the trash.  Put out the trash!
Many of us want to hold that trash in our hearts and that keeps us from praising God.  Sweep out the malice, the hatred, the back biting and the envy.  Trash impedes progress.  God cannot work and operate in your life until you take care of the trash in your life.
Trash also impedes your vision.  Look at verse 11: And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.  Satan hides in the midst of our trash and we cannot see what is going on.  Many of us open the door and let the trash man in because of the trash that is already in our lives.
If you want to be blessed, deal with your trash.  Fall on your knees and say Lord Im sorry and the Lord will bless you.
