The Women�s Mission meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM.  This section contains the weekly lessons taken from the Woman�s Home & Foreign Mission Society 2004 Guide and Program Book.  Lessons are added each week for you to study in preparation for the meetings

 

August 1 Mission Lesson: Seeking God�s Guidance in Times of Decision

Scripture: James 1:5-6; Proverbs 3:5-6

 

            There will be times in our lives when we find ourselves in places of uncertainty, when the problems of the world or the needs of our loved ones seem too great for us to bear.  It�s at those times that God wants us to seek His divine wisdom.  We are to confess that we don�t know what to do about the situations, but God the Father can give us the answers we need.  God desires that our hearts not only be open to receive His love, but His lessons for life as well.  He is pleased when we present ourselves humble and not exalted.  Acknowledging our weaknesses and seeking God�s guidance in all things show that there is already a spirit of wisdom within us.  When we confess that we need God, He will show us the way and make clear the path.
