August 22 Mission Lesson: God Provides Peace in Times of Turmoil
Scripture: Isaiah 26:3-4; Philippians 4:6-7

Through our prayers to the Father, we gain peace in times of turmoil.  Through the gift of peace, we no longer worry or become or become anxious about the outcome of life.  We are commanded in His Word to be anxious for nothing.  We are to thank God for guarding our hearts and minds.  Prayer and peace are closely related.  Through quiet supplication, God will reveal Himself to us and give us peace that flows like living water.
We should rejoice in times of turmoil because while the Father may not trust us Himself, He allows us to be tested.  Through these tests we grow spiritually. God is always watching us and how we handle our situations.  Call on Him and give Him praise for the great things He has in store for you.  Rejoice in all things.  Do not surrender to defeat, but celebrate the promises of God.  He promised that there would be good days and bad and that He would be with us on all of them.
