The Women�s Mission meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM.  This section contains the weekly lessons.  Each week, a new lesson from the Woman's Home & Foreign Mission Society 2004 Guide and Program Book will be added for your study, review, and discussion.  If you have questions or need clarification on any points, send an email to Pastor Williams at [email protected] and someone will respond.

 

May 23: The Blessed Ones: The Pure in Heart

 Matthew 5:8

 

The pure in heart are those who live and operate from holy motives.  They live without deception and lies and expose themselves for others to see.  The pure in heart are given the assurance that they shall see God.

 

Through fellowship with God in His Word and the Spirit, He fulfills His promise.  He reveals Himself to those who seek Him diligently and in love.  He promises to reveal Himself to the pure in heart in the person of Jesus when He comes again and in eternity.

 

Not only are our hearts to be pure but so should our bodies.  Fleshly purity of unwed women should be modeled at all times.  They are to avoid worldly behavior as they seek the glory of the kingdom of God.

 

God chose Mary to be the earthly mother of His Son Jesus because of the purity of her body and her heart.  Think about it.  Are you living pure enough in body and spirit for God to call on you?
