The Women�s Mission meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM.  This section contains the weekly lessons taken from the Woman�s Home & Foreign Mission Society 2004 Guide and Program Book.  Lessons for the month are added the first of each month for you to study at your own pace in preparation for the meetings.  If you have questions, send an email to Pastor Williams at [email protected] or post your questions and/or comments on the Forum site and someone will respond to you as quickly as possible.

 

July 11 Mission Lesson: God Comforts Us in Times of Loneliness

Scripture: Psalm 23; Isaiah 41:10; Hebrews 13:5-6

 

 God�s provision of comfort is found throughout the Bible, but nowhere more so than Psalm 23.  Here we find the ultimate comfort for the lonely in spirit, mind, and body.  Through this confirmation and acknowledgement of God�s promise, we do not worry or want for the things we need.  We do not fear darkness or death, for the Father is always with us.  He has promised that goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

 Jesus and the Father know, before we do, when our souls are weary, and they step in to give us what we need, when we need it.  God knows that daily restoration is needed for His children, and He lovingly provides it.  So for all things, we are to call on the Father.  Sometimes He just needs to hear our voices lifted to Him in heaven.
