July 25 Mission Lesson: God Offers Relaxation in Times of Suffering
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10; Hebrews 12:3-13
Suffering is a reality of life. Through our suffering, God hears our cries for mercy. Even as we pray for God to remove the suffering or pain from our bodies and souls, He may choose not to in order to accomplish a great work like Paul with the thorn placed upon him by a messenger of Satan. God heard his prayers but granted him grace instead. Through grace Paul could testify that in all things God will bring us through. This is a testimony most of us have. God may not give us what we desire, but He always gives us what we need. Therefore, rejoice when attacked by ungodly spirits or afflictions and ask God for grace, mercy and wisdom. He will provide whatever is needed to draw closer to Him.
