New Hope Missionary Baptist Church

The Women�s Mission meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM.  This section contains the weekly lessons taken from the Woman�s Home & Foreign Mission Society 2004 Guide and Program Book.  Lessons for the month will be added the first of each month to allow you to study at your own pace and be prepared for the meetings.  If you have questions or need clarification on any points, send an email to Pastor Williams at [email protected] or post your questions and/or comments on the Forum site.

 

June 20 Mission Lesson: The Blessed Ones Experience or Receive God�s Reward

 Luke 6:23

 

 Christians are encouraged to rejoice in their suffering.  They can rejoice because they received the greatest blessing available, experiencing God�s full presence in heaven.

 The truly blessed person is the one who steers clear of an ungodly lifestyle.  We are not found running away from the tests of our faith, but holding on to God and His promises.  In fact, we are to continue to share with others the magnificent promises that God has left for all humankind.  We are to seek out those who do not know the Lord as their Savior and present Him to them.  Like the four lepers in Samaria, we are to say to those who do not know, �Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him� (Ps. 34:9).

 God�s desire is for all people to share His kingdom.  As disciples we are commanded to bring the unsaved to the Lord.  Remember, whoever comes to God receives eternal life and full favor with God here on earth.
